Heat Pumps | Air Conditioning
Heat Pumps are the future of residential HVAC. Heat pumps can provide both warmth in the winter and efficient air conditioning in the warmer months. Heat pumps work by removing warmth from the surrounding air and forcing that air into the desired space. This means they can take warmth from outside air and push that warm into into your house for heat, or the system can be reversed in the summer time removing warm air from your house providing air conditioning. Heat Pumps can be tied into existing ductwork using an air handler (replacing your furnace) or by being attached to single or multiple heads for ductless systems. BC Air Conditioner Rebates
As part of the BC Government's Clean BC initiative, you could be eligible for significant rebates for a ductless mini split or ducted heat pump installation. Ductless Systems
Ductless systems, sometimes referred to as mini-splits allow you to cool and/or heat spaces without having to install large, bulky and expensive ductwork. These systems consist of an outside unit that works as an air conditioner and/or heat pump and an inside unit that disperse the warm or cool air. Ductless systems can come in either a single zone or multi zone units. Ductless splits are ideal for houses that want to switch from electric baseboards to a more efficient heat pump or smaller spaces that don't have duct work like a garage, addition or basement suite.
